Who: Cormac and Katie When: Tuesday Night Where: The Three Broomsticks What: An Unexpected Drinking Partner
Cormac had been bored out of his mind. Not even the upcoming game could keep his attention. There were days he hated playing with a bunch of Slytherins. They were moodier than a bunch of woman on the rag. Hell, if he wanted to deal with that he'd go to a women's group or something on the day their cycles synced up. There was tension with Warrington, there was tension with Flint, there was tension with Pucey, hell there was tension between Flint and Pucey. Personally, he was really glad he wasn't Warrington. Getting stuck in the middle of that was not a place he'd consider to be safe. Sure, Warrington and Clint had that whole homoerotic whatever going on (which, if he was honest, sort of got tiresome after a while) but Pucey was still just as much a part of the trio. Needless to say ... uncomfortable. That's what the locker room had been when he'd left practice.
The very fact that he was still thinking about it annoyed him. He'd gone home, showered, and headed out for the night and yet he was sitting there worrying about shit that really wasn't all that important. He would have preferred to take one of the boys with him on his regular trip out to Hogsmeade, but Drew was still pissy, Geoff was busy with their case, and Ken ... well, who the fuck knew where Ken was. He had a tendency to disappear for days on end. What the guy got up to, Cormac didn't know but he wasn't about to ask and find out either. Instead, he'd found himself sitting at his favourite spot at the bar of The Three Broomsticks, flirting horribly with a flushing Madam Rosmerta. It was almost a tradition after all this time. He was mostly full of shit and she was well aware after years of putting up with his drunk arse.
When all else failed, it always seemed like home ... of course, every time he was there he ended up three sheets to the wind and his accent slipped out. Scotland was home. He still didn't really even know why he lived in England. A waste, really.
