Who: Katie and Ken When: Wednesday Afternoon Where: Muggle London! What: Cuteness and pet shopping or something Rating: Lowish
Katie had spent the better part of the day trying to figure out how she'd managed to adopt two young Gryffindor girls and why they seemed to like her so much. It was strange. She'd had fun with Lavender and Dem. Well, as fun as mourning the loss of the dead and movies could be. It was just strange was all. Lavender and Marcus were... doing something. Shagging. Dating. Whatever it was, she'd decided that she wasn't going to get in the middle of it. Had she even known they'd had anything, she'd have never gone down that path with Marcus to begin with. It was all very dramatic and she didn't want to think about it. Donning a pair of capris and a tank top, Katie grabbed her denim jacket and headed out the door. Things with Roger around had actually been surprisingly fun and she was enjoying having a roomie around. Course, they were still in the honeymoon phase and all that. Still, she was a little worried about Sarah. She hadn't heard from her sister in a few days and that was unlike her.
Between the game Saturday, the gala, the conversation with Marcus, Lavender's visit and the anniversary, Katie was already ready for a stress and worry free afternoon that involved nothing dramatic or relationshippy. She was done with it. Over it, really. She hated that she was a little jealous of Lavender and she hated that Marcus was the reason for that. Lavender was a sweetheart and she deserved whatever it was she was trying to have with him and Katie was just... stepping away. No more snogging. Nothing. Maybe the occasional journal comment but outside of that? They really had no reason to talk at all. Did they?
Disapperating, Katie landed with a slight wobble and wave of dizziness as she stood in front of Ken's flat. Ken had always been a good friend and a while back they'd experimented with the dating thing but their schedules had never seemed compatible and all that. Still, she was comfortable enough to give a brief knock and walk on in. She adored Ken, really. He was fun and nice and they always had a good time together. "Hey," she said, happily as she walked in giving him a big smile. "So, I came for my Ken hug... and I'm fully expecting you to oblige."
