"You already are," she said, lightly, smiling up at him. And he was. He was polite and well-mannered and it was rather refreshing being treated like an actual person. It was nice to know that people of society actually had manners and could behave. The few she'd encountered at school hadn't really helped her perception of the society she was supposed to fit into. "I don't mean too," she said, as she thought about it more. "I didn't exactly fit into the Slytherin mold. I'm not from a society family and I had no connections at all. It was just easier to stay quiet and go about my schoolwork and all."
Emma sighed, finally relaxed enough to flow with the music. "I haven't," she said, shaking her head. "I didn't want to overwhelm myself. Would you lik-" She bit her lip, realizing she'd almost asked him if he'd like to try them wit her. That would be awfully forward and he might get the wrong impression and she didn't want that.
"Thank you for coming with me," she said, attempting a change of subject. "It was very nice of you."
