Her breathing quickened a little, nervous at being this close but she kept it in check. Emma slipped an arm around his neck, or, as close as it would go as he was nearly a foot taller than her, grateful she wasn't pressed against him. Adrian was surprisingly respectful and that was really rather nice. She didn't encounter that a lot. At work, she remained cold and distant and most people avoided talking with her for various reasons. Her inability to hold a conversation was one of them. Still, she was who she was.
Her eyebrows shot up and she looked at him. She was pretty certain that it would be impossible for any woman to think of him as a female. "I'm fairly certain thinking of you as a woman would damage my already delicate psyche," she said, drily, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "I've never met a woman as... large and commanding as you." Emma had the tendency to be blunt and honest. It was, she assumed, why she didn't have any friends other than Hannah and Astoria. She came off rather snotty.
