"You're not clumsy when you move the rest of the time," he responded, leading her away from the tables. "I doubt you'll be all that clumsy this time." Sure, he'd only seen her twice. Once at his poker game and then tonight, but on neither of those occasions had she appeared clumsy and that sort of thing was hard to shake.
He gave her a look when she said there wasn't much he couldn't do. He was used to people thinking that, particularly the women who were looking for a way to move up the social ladder. Coming from her, however, bothered him. He couldn't explain why, it just did.
"There's plenty of things I can't do," he responded, bringing them to a stop. He'd spotted Pansy with Marcus and Lavender, but ignored them for the moment. His attention was still on Emma. "I can't eat anything that comes into contact with Peanuts, I can't fence, I'm terrible with plants, I could definitely be doing a better job running my Father's business, and I lack a certain ability to deal with people who are stupid."
