Danny Haren got trained up by one of the best catchers in the league, Jason Kendall. And I really think that's part of why he's the pitcher he is today. Of course there are a zillion and six other factors, but that perseverance and that "hit this, bitch" is such a trademark of pitchers that've worked with Jason Kendall. I miss him and it looks like he's going spend next season on the DL too (even if he's on a yucky team now.) And I'll have to agree with most D-Backs fans, I can't believe they traded him. But I can't believe anyone would trade Cliff Lee (and I don't even like Cliff Lee) and that's happened twice.
MLB.tv (and At Bat 11) is half of why I know what I know. I love watching the game. (When my students go off to Music or Art or whatnot, I can watch an inning or two on my phone, love that. Sometimes for 'free time' I let them watch games on the Smartboard, too.) Even if it's not my team, I just love the game and I love listening to people talk about it. And then all the beat reporters are on Twitter now, and they post so much interesting information. (And when you said "Hudson", I thought of Tim Hudson, and was all curious as to why you'd care about him home run (he hit a grand slam!) and then I get you meant -your- Hudson and it made sense. I love hitting pitchers too, I love the bunt.)
