NYU. I graduated from high school at sixteen, got accepted to NYU for the seven-year accelerated medical program, and the rest is history.
When I was younger, it was because my dad was an EMT. When I grew up, stopped being quite so impressed by him, it was because I wanted to help people while simultaneously fulfilling a personal need to learn and be challenged.
I want to learn about immunity, whether it's random or passed on genetically, whether there's some way to isolate the reason for it and produce a way to make everyone immune. Though, really, I want to learn everything I can about the infection.
Any sort of trauma surgery. Being forced to think on your feet, make life-saving decisions in a split-second. It's thrilling and rewarding.
