"What an awful thing to accuse me of," Rory scoffed, mostly just to be contrary. In all honesty, the notion of asking Finn to a dance lesson had struck her as fun. She'd enjoyed herself last time, and it seemed a reasonable thing to ask of her friend. Whatever other motives there might've been beneath the surface were remaining unacknowledged, of course. Mostly because Rory wasn't sure what was happening here.
"I was hoping you'd have a good time," she continued, eyebrow slightly arched to hint at a casual challenge. "I think you know I wouldn't choose a dance lesson if I wanted to put you in your place." A lazy smirk touched one corner of her mouth, and Rory tilted her head slightly, made curious when the dance hold didn't break off. She didn't mind in the slightest, maybe even enjoyed the warmth of his body and the light pressure of his hand, but it was interesting that Finn wasn't fidgeting or finding some casual way to put appropriate space back between them.
She'd noticed that last time, back at the junkyard. No denying she was observant when it was in her best interest to be.
"If you think I had secret motives, then what were your reasons for coming exactly?" she asked, intrigue laced through her tone.
