With a little laugh, Rae shrugged. "Who said we would be playing doctor that day? Maybe we could play something different. Like house... in Utah." Her smirk was wry, and she was actually quite proud of that joke. "I think you're more or less exempt from my rage fits though. One of the bonus features on the DVD that is Being Rae's Favorite Person." She honestly had no idea where her random sense of humor came from that day. Maybe it was partially due to her good mood. But whatever it was, she was glad for it.
"For you, babe, I'd do just about anything. So if you want me to dance on and around a motorcycle for you, I'll find a way to make it happen. Hell, I'd even suffer through more eighties hair metal if that's what you wanted me to do," she smirked, nudging Elliot lightly with her hip. "Since it'll be your dance, Steel, you get to pick the song. That's how it goes." Unless they were birthday dances or Christmas dances, anyway. Those... were different. "And it's not that much suffering! I caught you singing along with Monster the other day..."
She scoffed a little and poked him in the side again when he did exactly what she expected him to do and pointed out that she had, in fact, seen him with AJ. "It's absolutely not enough! I am the greediest person when it comes to seeing my man with babies." She nodded sagely. "Besides, AJ totally adores you. I don't think he wanted to leave his canvas' side!" Another playful grin and she tip-toed up to kiss him on the cheek. "You should know by now that you can have whatever time whenever you want it, Dr. Sexy."
How was it that they never ran out of silly conversations to have? Rae didn't know, but she loved every second of it. "My dad dressed up as the Hamburglar one Halloween. And my mom was a female Ronald McDonald. Rita, she called herself. I thought it was the coolest thing ever until they tried to tell me that I had to dress up as a cheeseburger. I was nine years old and I never lived that costume down." She shook her head. "Maybe between the two of us, Little One will have some semblance of normal tanning ability. An hour and a half in the sun and I always looked like I'd sat there for four hours with tanning oil on."
She caught that he was trying so hard not to smile and it made it even harder for her to fight off a grin. "And how'd it taste?" she asked in response with a wry eyebrow raise. Honestly, she didn't care who saw or heard them. What was Douchebag the Security Captain going to do, kick them out? Evan would likely have something to say about that. If they didn't have a little juvenile fun now and again, the world would be a miserable place.
"See?" she muttered softly when she broke the kiss, her lips in a soft, loving smile. "Perfect, isn't it?"
Rae's eyes fell to her tummy when Elliot's hand pressed against it, the smile turning into a smirk at the large, muddy handprint he left behind. She raised her eyes back to look at him. "What do you say we go and get cleaned up? Or... as cleaned up as we can get, anyway."
