Allie, too, turned her head to watch Rae and Eli's obvious displays of affection, and she smiled softly. Those two were crazy about each other. Anyone in the room who was paying any bit of attention to them could clearly see that. Unlike Ollie, however, Allie was oblivious to any jealous gazes being aimed in her friend's direction.
She nodded her agreement to David's words and reached out to take his hand. "That's true, and I have a feeling they'll get the chance for many more of those soon enough." She didn't dare voice specifics here, though. There were occasions when she blabbed trivial things, but when it counted? Allie Andrada could take a secret to her grave.
Her laughter resurfaced with Ollie's joke about the fun police. "As if they could ever catch us," she responded, giving her brother a conspiratorial grin. "We'd just have to find a new place to dance; that's all."
She couldn't exactly blame her brother for letting his jealousy flare up again. After all, she hadn't been a very good sister lately, what with spending most of her time with David and her friends. Biting her lip, Allie made a silent decision to ask Ollie to help her set things up for Rae's upcoming birthday party. It wouldn't be quite the same as that full day they'd spent together when Ollie finally made the official move to Grand Central, but at least it would be a reminder of how important he was to her. As if he really needed reminding.
"Fine, fine. You're right about that, at least, dear brother," Allie said, rolling her eyes playfully. "You've always been the better dancer, even without lessons. I'm willing to admit that much. Lucky for you I'd rather have the better voice." She poked her tongue out at him.
