She had to get away from it. The memories, the pain and the agony of seeing her bar overrun my runners, shufflers and exploders. She could close her eyes and envision what the facility once looked like. The lights were iridescent, the music was soothing to ones soul. It was a paradise for a lonely soul and a haven for those who just wanted to wash away their sorrows. Maybe even become close to their lover for the night. It meant so much to her and all she had left was her grandfather's watch and her grandmother's necklace.
She looked at the watch which held no meaning. Time was irrelevant, slowed, stopped to nothing. It wasn't about time anymore. It was about making it through the day and being damn near glad the sun was rising so those damn zombies could be seen. Sanura missed the days where no one gave a damn. Now giving a damn was the only thing that was going to help someone stay alive.
She found herself further and further from what was safe, what was known. She camped out in a complex one night and just kept walking. Before she knew it, she may as well have slammed into the Statue of Liberty. Curiosity beckoned her to go inside, to see if any danger lurked there.
Instead there was someone on a journey to the top of what used to be a great wonder of the world. "The fuck you doing!?" Sanura yelled. The person had to be human and just really fucking dumb to be alone.
