He laughed at her remark about hicks and chicken, when it came to that they all weren't typical hicks, but he figured that Rodeo and him made up for it with their criminal records at least. It occurred to him that they would need hay, and some sort of food for the chickens, too. And he had never in his life bothered with chicken food - chicken was his food, that was all he really needed to know.
Cutter listened to her plans and tried to let her do as much on her own as possible, only giving some advice here and there, talking things through before letting her get to work.
