Alana/O'Brien/Aileen/OPEN
She was settling into life in NYC with her family, but then since they were who she had risked everything to look for it wasn't that hard for her. She felt like she was being useful, taking care of Brannon, Alana and Luke. It wasn't as if she hadn't pulled her weight for others before, or did what she could to help in general here too, but here with her family she felt like it was actually making a difference.
Unlike Alana and Brannon she hadn't gone out of her way to find a dress. She showed up in the nicer pair of jeans and shirt she could cobble together out of what she'd been able to bring instead of raiding stores for something formal. Her reasoning was her own, and she wouldn't really share it, not even with her siblings, but she thought dressing up right now was frivolous and silly. She wouldn't begrudge anyone for doing so since she understood the morale boost it would give everyone. She just wouldn't do it herself.
Taking up position at the bar with her brother and sister she smiled, planting her elbow on the bar and her chin in her hand. "I would kill for a good Manhattan!" She chuckled then turned her smile to Alana and Brannon who looked much better than she did even at their worst, in her opinion, but right now she thought they looked stunning. Even with those boots of Alana's. "What about you?"
