A thousand questions popped into her mind when he reminded her that he wasn't "vegetarian." She chewed her lip and looked up at him. "How do you choose? Who you feed off of, I mean..." she asked, a little bit nervous at the question, because it would have been easy to take offense to. "I've always been curious. I mean... I don't see 'cruel, evil monster' when I look at you, so... there has to be some kind of process, right?" she asked. "I've always wondered this stuff. You don't have to tell me, I'm sorry..." she added, "my mouth always goes off before my brain catches up."
She nodded her head and smiled a little when he brought up the balance, the genuineness not false. "That's true," she nodded her head. "And to be honest, I like my magic. And most of the time, when I can show them, I like my wings..." she peered over her shoulder at her wings. "Kids pretend to have wings all the time. I get to live it," she added, bringing a little of the glimmer back.
Her eyes widened when he told her how old he was. She had expected something like that, but hearing it verbalized was no less surprising. Like one of those answers you expect but don't at the same time. "Wow," she tilted her head in intrigue. "So you've seen a lot, then," she added. "I'm jealous, actually. I always liked learning about history, only because I always wondered how much of it was accurate..."
She paused when he told her that other vampires might consider it rude. "I figured," she chuckled a little, "but you seem like such a nice guy, so... I didn't figure it would hurt to ask." She paused again. "Seems like we're both sort of lucky today, huh?"
Maybe it was vaguely foolish, offering a stranger her blood. But he had endless opportunities to kill her, like when he first saw her and snuck up behind her, even. And staying in a dingy basement with a hungry vampire and no escape was just as bad an idea as this. Maybe worse. So... it was the path of least resistance. At least that was how she saw it.
She looked up at him, green eyes meeting brown as she nodded her understanding of what he was saying. "I figured it would," she said, her voice soft as she watched him closely. "I won't scream, it's okay..." she reassured him, then paused when he compared the whole situation to sex, a small smirk crossing her face. "That so, hm?" she asked him, her eyes drawn to the two sharp teeth as he revealed them again. "Well then..." her eyes raised back to his and she tilted her head to the side to allow him easier access, "go for it."
Her eyes widened at the initial pinch and she sucked in a sharp gasp at the pain, but that was the only noise she made. After that, a wave of calming ecstasy washed over her, and her eyes fell closed with a soft hum.
