Addie didn't hear anyone approaching, but that wasn't a surprise since she was busy breaking stools and chairs legs to use in the oven. She turned startled when she heard Bennett's voice.
"Oh...hey!" she greeted him with a broad smile once she recovered from the surprise. "I'm just trying something," Addie explained looking between the oven and Bennett. "I really need a working oven," she went on, stepping back to stand near him. "I figured I could use some wood to start a fire and maybe I can cook here. I was thinking about baking a cake or maybe cookies. The children would appreciate that, wouldn't they?" Addie folded her arms over her chest and cocked her head to look at Bennett. "Do you think is a bad idea?"
