It seemed that Mike's complaining had paid off for once. Instead of making the runs this morning, he'd be taking them in for sorting. It was guaranteed to be basically brainless, because if the runners were handing the load over to other runners, it usually wasn't all that important. Which was just as well. He'd not been feeling all that well lately again and needed his rest before heading out for the afternoon. Or something. Truth be told, Mike might not have been taking as good care of himself if it weren't for Kori.
"Hey," he called back from his position against the wall. "You got stuff?"
The girl was unfamiliar, but he regarded her the way he would have anyone else; people were in and out all of the time, and Mike was so bad with names sometimes it paid to just assume he knew everyone. "Okay out there?"
