The sound of voices in the background slowly brought Lukas back to consciousness. He was aware of them before he was really awake and he couldn't help listening for a moment to the arguing siblings. Some things would never change he supposed. He missed arguing with his siblings. One thing that was good about arguing with your family was that no matter what was said, at the end of the day you still loved each other and you got over it. You just couldn't do the same thing with other people.
"Stop it Georgie," he heard Daniel say softly, "He's doing his best. But looks like I need to give you a few pointers on evading... come here and let me bandage that."
Lukas groaned a little as he sat up, wishing that he was able to sleep longer but he knew that he'd been lucky enough to get the few hours he'd gotten. The only time he ever slept was through shear exhaustion. His insomnia had only gotten worse over the last couple months and he found that he was rarely sleeping, which only made him edgy and paranoid.
Smoothing his hair back (as it was probably sticking up all over), he sat up and rubbed at his tired eyes. He still felt tired, but not like he was about to fall over at any second. An improvement, to be sure. He looked around blearily before his eyes focused on the three siblings, who were all now looking at him. It was sort of freaking him out a little to be the centre of attention so he tried to divert it.
"You look like hell," he told Evan with a bit of a grin, leaning back against the wall and in no big hurry to move anywhere.
"He just went through it," Daniel agreed, shaking his head as he cleaned the cut along Evan's face. Immune or not, they still got sliced and bitten to bits by the infected.
