WHO: Anya and Liam WHAT: Catching up~ WHERE: NY Public Library WHEN: Afternoon, February 6 RATING: Tamer than Buffalo Wild Wings' mild sauce STATUS: In progress
Anya could remember how she felt after Joey died. The fear and loneliness and growing madness, all intermingling in her overworked brain that was processing too many thoughts and emotions for her to handle all at once. Her fiance was dead, and now she was stuck in a city that she barely knew. Joey had been the one that wanted to go -- had insisted it, actually -- and now Joey was gone, and a part of her hated him a little for that, and a much later part hated herself for hating him. Joey hadn't done it on purpose. He was looking out for his friends, the way he looked out for Anya.
Similarly, Anya supposed that Liam had been looking out for her in the same way. He was the one that found her, after all, and brought her to the safehouse she was currently residing in. He was the one that would stop by and check on her (and the others), and stay and chat with her for a little. Though Anya did like the others that lived in the library with her, she appreciated the fact that Liam would visit. It was always nice to have a familiar face stop by.
So when she saw Liam come through those doors from her position at the receptionist's desk, an open book before her, a smile blossomed on her face. She stood and ambled over to him with an easy grin.
"Hey you!" she chirped. "Long time no see! Did you make it here alright?"
