A Halloween party was actually a fun idea. Everyone around needed a bit of optimism. Cautious optimism, of course – if they let their guard down for even a second, they could have a repeat of Carnegie on their hands – but optimism nonetheless.
Ollie had always liked Halloween. The holiday was fun, especially when you could afford lavish costumes and extravagant parties like Ollie had grown up with. This was hardly one of those… as a matter of fact, it was hardly worth mentioning in the same sentence as those, but it was still nice all the same. It was nice to forget about things for a little while, even if it did feel a little frivolous.
As soon as he'd heard about the party, he made a trip out and snagged a costume from one of the remaining costume shops, and showed up to Madison Square Garden dressed as a stereotypical burgler. He'd had a good laugh about the irony of it, but then decided that he absolutely had to wear it, so here he was.
It seemed that a few other people had the same general idea that he did, and he smirked at the various costumes he saw around the room. His eyebrows raised, however when he spotted a woman dressed sexy nurse, and he laughed once in appreciation. "Nice choice," he called out to her, since she was in earshot.
