Rae and Eli
It had been a little while, she'd had a little conversation with Yumi, and she still hadn't seen Eli. Not only was she hoping that he had a chance to see her pink hair, but she was also hoping to show him that she was good for her word. Even though that word was a silly little promise, and even though that promise was made over a year ago. She still remembered it, though, and it was important to her.
So, off she set to find him. She hadn't really seen him over the past couple of days, anyway, so she was sort of excited to get his reaction to her pink (and short) hair. Reactions had generally been raised eyebrows, and she'd gotten teased by a couple of the army guards for choosing pink, but she couldn't have cared less if she tried. It was a nice change; it sort of brought on a new attitude and she wasn't going to let some stupid army guard who thought he was better than her take that away. She was done being sad. Her mother wouldn't want her to. This? Making the best of things and planning Halloween parties? This was what her mother would want her to do, and she was glad that she'd finally come to terms with that.
She scanned her immediate area for Eli and smirked a little bit when she spotted him at the candy table. That was… entirely unsurprising. After all, she'd made sure to grab a couple remaining packets of Pop Rocks for him (and stow a couple more in her costume-fitting purse with the rest of his surprises, just in case the kids snagged them all), so she hadn't expected to find him anywhere else.
Putting on a sly grin, she took a couple sidling steps forward and stood next to him. "So, how do you like the little celebration I put together?" she asked, leaning her hip against the table and smiling as a couple of the kids from the safehouse grabbed some licorice from the other side of the table, then ran away laughing. Good, it's working.
