"Wouldn't wish you away, Als." Unless he took a turn for the worse.
Ollie knew that were roles reversed, he'd have promised the same thing, no matter how much it would have killed him on the inside and no matter how little he would actually be able to call what he'd be doing "living." Allie was a part of his soul; a large part of his soul. His sister, his best friend. She made him stronger. If roles were reversed, yeah, he'd try to live but that didn't mean it would be easy.
Allie could be okay, though. She still had her friends; her friends who, though most probably would have left the twins to their privacy, stayed and made sure that Ollie didn't take a "turn" for the worse and attack his sister. He was grateful for that, beyond gratitude. Almost as grateful as he was for the fact that he knew that none of them would let anything happen to her when his time was out. He smiled weakly, reaching up with equal weakness to push some of his sister's hair from her face and coughing once in spite of his best efforts not to.
She promised that she'd try and even though he knew it would be a daunting task, his relief was obvious. She was stronger than she gave herself credit for. She could do it.
"Can I ask you one more thing?" he asked, then paused for a second. "Actually, two. But one is more important than the other..." he trailed off, glancing over at her once more. "I'd like you to move out here. With David. And Rae and Elliot." They'll look after you went unsaid. "It's safer than the mainland. And there are people here who care about you."
He'd wait for her reaction before he asked her for the second thing.
