If he was entirely honest with both of them, Evan didn't wish Leah dead. "If I wanted you dead, you'd at least be hurt," he smirked.
"Or at the very least a 'no kicking useful people' rule," Evan added with a wry smile. He was sure that each of them had people they wouldn't mind seeing kicked with an ice skate on. "I'd offer to go ice skating with you, but I'm fairly certain you wouldn't want me to go." And that sort of thing should've been saved for O'Brien. And Eloise. "We could make the Central Park skating rink a place that we meet up, though. Somehow I doubt that government influence stretches that far. And it's a lot safer than doing things like this in safehouses." He smirked a little bit and shrugged one shoulder. "Plus, could be good practice for skate-fighting, am I right?" he joked. "And if my clumsiness is any indication I'll need all the practice I can get."
Evan shrugged a shoulder again and smiled a little bit. "I don't know. You've got your moments when it comes to brainy things." It was probably not a big consolation, but it was something. "Besides, it's going to take a lot of common sense people like you and me to keep the people we have with us in line." Charlie and Brandon weren't known for their restraint.
"It'll be worth it either way. And I know this is going to sound weird or whatever, especially coming from me, but I'm really glad we're doing this together. Can't think of anyone I'd rather co-lead with."
