Rodeo shook his head and lifted up his hands in surrender, grateful for as much as she had given him and not about to press for more. "Ain't gonna hear a peep from me," he promised. He wanted to know-- of course he did-- but he wasn't going to ask. Someday, maybe. Maybe someday she'd even tell him on her own. But today wasn't that day.
"Whatever keeps you goin'," Rodeo shrugged, glancing around as they headed back to the car. "Y'know how to hotwire? Wanna learn? You can drive for a bit, if you're feelin' it." Rodeo loved to drive, and he had so desperately missed being behind the wheel, but Charlie had looked pretty miserable in the passenger seat and he was hoping that switching it up would cheer her up slightly after her encounter in the convenience store.
