WHO: Leti and Liam WHAT: Running into each other again. It's been a while WHERE: On the way to Grand Central WHEN: January 2, 2019 RATING: Low, probably STATUS: In progress
Going to the New Year's party had seemed like a good idea at first. Meeting new people, having some fun...celebrating being alive to see 2018 turn into 2019. In theory, all good things. So she'd dressed up (or at least, tried to). Found herself a party dress and a nice pair of purple pumps to match. She'd looked the part, definitely. And when she'd shown up at Madison Square, everything had been fine. Food, music, dancing. She'd really been looking for one person in particular. Brandon. She didn't have too many people in the friend department, so familiar faces were always welcome. Just, not when they were snatched up by the pretty princess type. She'd seen it from a little ways away and hadn't bothered trying to interrupt. It wouldn't have gotten her anywhere anyway. So she'd just left out early.
The next day she'd decided a little change in scenery was in order. It hadn't taken long at all to pack up her things to head out. Her destination? Grand Central. She'd been there before coming to Madison Square and it wasn't all that bad. With her sunglasses on and her pistol in hand, she'd left out, confident that she could make it there quickly and safely.
For once, the streets were relatively quiet. Strange, but she wouldn't question it. The less conflict, the better, in her mind. She kept vigilant at all times and concentrated only on what was going on her around her until she made it to her destination. By the time late morning slipped into afternoon, she was drawing close to the station. It brought a hint of a smile to her face. She approached with an easy enough stride. And that was when she noticed someone also headed toward the safehouse. From that far, she couldn't really see. But when she got closer, the face definitely looked familiar.
When she'd gotten close enough, she decided to take a guess. At worst, it wouldn't be him. And at best? Well, it would be. "Hey...Liam?"
