Re: David and Eli
"Eh, it was worth it. That and the double chores. Much better than leaving you blackmail ammo in the form of video proof." Besides, it wasn't as though he'd been a stranger to being punished, with all the ways he used to torment his little brother, and whenever Anderson got around to dealing out punishments, Elliot would always use the argument that Anderson couldn't punish him... because he wasn't his real dad. Never worked, though. If anything, his punishments were usually a little worse because of a remark like that.
David's insistence that the song was, indeed, a classic, made Elliot scoff. "Phillies against the Orioles, though? How was I supposed to know they'd get their asses handed to them by Baltimore? I still maintain that that particular game was rigged."
"You don't want a shallow bitch for a girlfriend, David. Trust me. You're better off with having Allie just as a friend." Rae had a tinge of shallowness in her, he had to admit, but her kindness and generosity made up for it tenfold. Besides, as a stripper whose job it was to be beautiful and alluring, it made sense that Rae would be a little caught up on looks. It wasn't the sole reason Elliot was with her, though.
Elliot hadn't had many conversations with Allie, so he couldn't really give an honest opinion as to how nice she was. Gorgeous, nice girls were one in a million. That much he knew. He watched Allie dancing with Brandon, noting how she seemed to have completely forgotten David even existed. His brother didn't deserve to be treated that way. Elliot was more than happy to downplay whatever good qualities David claimed the woman possessed. "Girl like that has probably had a lot of boyfriends. You considered that, right? She looks like a maneater to me."
"Ah, Melody," Elliot mused, rolling his eyes. He didn't mention that Melody had some weird little stalker crush on him, instead nodding his agreement and choosing not to make his brother feel worse because another girl (a creepy girl, for that matter) wasn't interested in him. "Well, hey, I never said you had to have the next hottest girl in line at Liberty. Maybe we'll take a tour of Grand Central, see if there's any hot chicks there."
