Re: David and Eli
Chuckling, he held up two fingers. "Scout's honor. If I'd wanted to get you drunk and singing, I'd have given you something stronger than one beer. You're safe tonight." From singing, anyway. "And if you ever do share that story with Rae or anyone else? You really won't be safe. I'm serious." Wearing all pink hadn't bothered him as much as that humiliating song David had made him sing. All about being a pretty princess and sharing a tea party with a fluffy poodle and wanting to know if the old man he'd been singing to wanted to join him for a game of hide-and-seek. Yeah, he definitely didn't want anybody to know about that.
Elliot's own frown showed his concern. Okay, joking older brother wasn't making things any better. He bit back the urge to jokingly suggest that David should've practiced his flirting on Allie. Based on what little Rae had told him about her friend's past, she was used to having guys flirt with her. Who better to give David lessons than someone who was an expert?
Following the direction of his brother's gaze, his own gaze registered comprehension. Seeing Rae's friend dancing and looking ecstatic to be with that other guy. The massive height difference made the pair look ridiculous. Scoffing, Elliot said, "That guy? The muscled moron? Douches like are only looking to get laid." Unfortunately, he doubted Allie was smart enough to realize that. Or maybe she was and that was why she was with that other guy.
He popped the last few chips in his mouth and brushed the salt from his hands. "Don't let it bug you, dude. If she's into a guy like that? She doesn't deserve you." He quirked an eyebrow, thought he wasn't able to quite hide his smirk. "Want me to go over there and kick his ass for you?"
