Re: Mike & Kori
Kori could have floated when he agreed. Well not really but she felt lighter. Happier even than she had seconds ago. He may have said all the right things in his note but she'd been scared that he wouldn't want to go with her. Not that she would have blamed him she'd been pretty horrible to him.
Taking his hand in hers she pulled away from him just enough so as to be able to lead them away from the people dancing. There was a spot not too far away that was mostly private and mostly ignored by people. Kori was pretty sure it was a service hallway from when Madison Square had been an arena meant for entertaining others. There were other places she could take him but this one was closest and she wasn't really sure she could walk further than that without falling on her face. Plus they'd be able to hear when everyone started counting down to midnight.
"Here we are." She announced a few minutes later leaning against the wall for a second before sliding down to the floor. She giggled a little like it was funny and patted a spot of floor next to her for him join her. She glanced at her watch and pouted. Less than ten minutes until midnight. She actually didn't want to wait that long to kiss him.
She tilted her head and watched him for a moment. "Michael?"
