The words made her smile. Not so much because he was complimenting her as it was because he was being genuine. She couldn't say that was true for a lot of people anymore, but even before he was sincere in what he said to her. Not believing that he could be anymore chafed. Even more so when she let herself remember that she'd considered Mike her fairytale ending.
Dancing didn't seem all that important anymore. Sure she swayed a little to the beat of the music but the level of intoxication between the two of them made the actual enacting of the concept complicated. It was probably a wonder to anyone watching that they were still upright at that moment, but she didn't care her boy was holding her and humming. Two things she'd always liked and she'd sorely missed.
"Hm?" She lifted her head a little to look at him. There was a rawness to his expression that pulled at her heartstrings. Pressing a hand to his cheek she smiled, "Let's find somewhere quiet, just you and me until midnight. Okay?"
