Re: O'Brien, Leah
Pointless? and him? Getting defensive? He didn't want to be a shark either. But he didn't know what he was. "Yeah, well." He pointed to her a bit, "me either. i don't care. If you see me as a fish, maybe I'm a fish. If I'm more like a shark, maybe I'm a shark."
He gave her a curious look. "I didn't say you were afraid of it. I said you didn't like it. So... are you, then? Afraid of it? You said it. Not me." He would find that slightly amusing except for the fact that he had absolutely no room to judge. He was terrified of Wakers, and could barely handle snakes. Wakers made him fear vomit and cry, and snakes made him behave like a terrified little girl.
He rolled his eyes a bit at her comment about not eating him, "well, that's a relief. I didn't imagine you would. Feline or not." He arched a brow at her comment about dolphins. "Calm?" He wasn't calm? He eyed her, "what are you saying?" That he was uptight? Tightly wound? Why did everyone think that?? Okay, okay. He didn't give off the best impression. Big deal.
Was he allergic to her? If she was a big cat? "Well, I do get a funny feeling every time I'm around you, but I don't start having trouble breathing--" he paused, thinking a moment. "Well, I don't always start having trouble breathing when you're around. Only sometimes."
He rolled his eyes, "she had no idea there was going to be a zombie apocalypse. It was like five? Six years before the outbreak? Anyway. She cheated on me with some Broadway actor guy." He shrugged, "pretty sure they ran off to California or something, and wound up having kids after all."
He grinned at her surprised, and then irritated look, when he snapped the photo of her. "Nope. It's there, now. It can't be deleted. If I don't delete the photo of me that you took, you can't delete this one." He moved to look down at the screen on the camera, "and it's not bad. I promise."
He moved to snap a few more photos of various things around. Chip bowl. Freeze dried ice cream. Leah again. His feet. Himself. Etc. "By yourself, maybe." Too cold to be on the roof. He imagined that if you had someone with you, it wouldn't be as chilly. He could be wrong.
"Yeah, it could have been a kid. But it also could have been a jerkoff that didn't want me posting anymore stupid pictures of my artwork." True fact.
