Once he took that step she went out to the dance floor. She didn't go directly to the heart of it because it was always so crowded and she could never breathe there but on the outer fringes of it she was perfectly happy with. She knew he'd be right behind her so she didn't do that awkward thing where the girl waited for her partner to show up before starting to dance; she just started dancing letting the music wash over her.
It felt right to be close to him. Why she kept denying it was beyond her, it was actually the stupidest thing she'd done in the last four months. She had the niggling feeling that she'd been avoiding him for equally stupid reasons. Sure they'd seemed important but seriously he wasn't at fault he'd explained as much.
She shook her head at him and let him take her hand. "Only if I am. And I don't think I'm dreaming." Things weren't nearly as fuzzy as they were in dreams. Sure they were a little fuzzy but she didn't have that weird feeling of just suddenly being in a story like she usually did when she remembered dreaming.
