A grin still firmly in place, Rae shrugged a shoulder. “We had some fun. Not much more needs to be said, I don't think...” she pointed out with a wiggle of her eyebrows. “I'll keep the details to a minimum, to spare David's poor mind.” A sentence which received a “THANK YOU” and an exasperated noise from David. She smirked a little bit. “For now, anyway...” she tacked on playfully, which earned an exasperated groan. The comment about strippers not being shy went unmentioned, because Rae sort of got the feeling that it was different when it was someone you felt for like she felt for Eli.
She grinned a little bit, and her expression went sheepish when Allie mentioned not having “that kind of fun.” Rae shrugged a shoulder. “It'll happen, sweetie,” she told Allie. “You're an amazing person. You know it's only a matter of time before someone sweeps you off your feet.” Just as Allie had, Rae put very limited thought into the idea that maybe David would take that the wrong way. She'd have felt guilty if she'd realized it.
Arching an eyebrow at the thought of David scaring Lady Unibrow off—a task that not even Rae had been able to pull off—she raised her head and look at David again. “Is that so?” she asked, turning to look back at Allie. “Must have been some kind of something!” And he was coming to the party, too! Rae smiled wide. “You know how long I've been trying to convince him to come to the party? Eli, too! And here you are, waltzing in with your powers of persuasion...” she chuckled, raising her eyes to look at David and see that he was smiling a little bit.
“I'm not going to strip in the talent show, darling, no,” she mused. “Some of the people out that way are prudes.” She'd known that wasn't what Allie meant, but it was fun to tease her nonetheless. “I'm going to dance, though. Eli mentioned wanting to see me dance more, and I put together a nice routine that I can't wait to show off. As for stripping lessons? Well, naturally. We'll have to have Super David scare off the unibrow lady to make it happen, though.”
