Evan looked down at the pile of computer parts and laughed a little bit. He never realized he was such a klutz. Falling on his own blade, dropping a computer down off a fire escape... he shook his head in disbelief as he started down the fire escape to head back to Grand Central.
“Hey, I'd rather drop that thing than fall myself. As much as it would probably amuse you to see me tumble down, I mean,” and as likely as it was of late, apparently. “Sorry to disappoint,” he joked. He knew they were beyond the 'I want to kill you' phase.
Once his feet touched the ground, he turned his head and looked at Leah, starting to gather the computer bits from the icy ground. “We should keep this. You can hold onto it until you talk to him. Could be fun to... sort of use it as a clever visual metaphor or something,” he mused as he picked up the biggest bundle and offered it out to Leah. “Fun for you, at least.” Evan imagined that geekboy wouldn't find it quite as fun; his precious little machine smashed to bits.
“We need to start thinking about telling other people. People we trust.” He knew that those people were limited, and he also knew that Leah had already told Brandon, but if there was anyone else she was interested in telling, well... it couldn't hurt. “We'll need more people.”
