Re: O'Brien and Leah
"Well then, maybe I'll conveniently forget to tell Mr. Bond that I saw someone wearing his tie. Or maybe I'll just tell him I saw a zombie strutting around outside with it." She said all of this while staring at the candy cane, twisting it around. Already the red stripe was beginning to fade, the candy stick thinning.
Jealous. Leah rolled her eyes and inclined her head to look up at him, one eyebrow lifting. "Maybe," she said after a moment. "I'd be more annoyed than jealous, though. I don't enjoy watching." Her heart may have iced over in recent years, but she was still human, still had needs. Things like that weren't difficult to talk about. However, it was odd talking about them with Quarantine Guy, a man she barely knew.
She returned her gaze to the party-goers, once again spotting the chick in the white dress. Whatever else might be said about her, the girl really did stand out in the crowd. Leah's eyes narrowed. Was that...? Sighing, Leah's eyes fell closed. It would be just like her brother to chat with someone like that, wouldn't it? A girl who was way too flamboyant and obvious. No. Just no.
O'Brien was talking again, and Leah opened her eyes, refocusing her attention. She blinked at what the man had said, sure she'd heard him wrong. "Well, that makes one of us," she replied. "And why exactly would you be glad that I'm here? Last I recall, you didn't seem to like the things I was saying."
