"I'm sure you'll be fine. It was aimed more at those crossing with me who might let me fall in. And I'm not about to tell her that I had a complete klutz attack and ripped open my thigh." Anyway Leah would probably be fine with medical people on the island it was just the crossing she had been ridiculous about. Just because Rae had unfortunate luck and got pulled in didn't mean everyone was going to have that problem. Being concerned was one thing but openly threatening people Kori called friends it had pissed her off.
She made a noise in response that was more a groan than the thanks it was supposed to be. She missed the days of anesthetic, she was completely awful with pain and she already knew from one previous experience that she was going to be in pain for awhile once he was done. Apparently getting stabbed by a needle several times on top of hurting yourself sent your nerve endings into overdrive and they just throbbed angrily for hours.
But she waited patiently for him to finish, chewing on her bottom lip as he worked. Rae's interruption and immediate departure there after had given her something to distract herself with. She couldn't imagine what Rae was feeling in that moment when she'd come in or even now wherever she was but she really shouldn't be sitting here, she should be finding her friend and explaining.
No sooner had he finished than Kori hopped down and pulled her pants back on. "So when should I see about getting them out, and I know keep it clean." She didn't mean to sound sort of abrupt and ungrateful but she really didn't have the time to be standing there. "Thanks for patching me up." She said once she realized how that sounded.
