Of course, she was easily excited when it came to the people she loved, but that was another matter entirely. Camping was one of her favorite spring and summer activities, and she and Topher and more than earned some time to themselves. It was hard, of course, leaving EJ with someone else right now, even if that someone else was April. After everything that had happened, everything with their stalker-turned-breakin, and how he'd had his sights set on her son... yeah, she was anxious. But April wasn't alone. She had Lucas there, and George... so things would be okay, right? Right.
Breathing a cleansing sigh, Rae smoothed a hand through her hair and adjusted the cooler of food in her arms. This was what she needed. They deserved some them time, especially now.
She wondered what spot he'd picked out. The river was nice; it would provide some nice, calm background noise to their relaxing couple of days to themselves, and as she wandered her way along the banking, she glanced over her shoulder, just to make sure that there was no one following. Wouldn't that be her luck? She pushed her hair out of her eyes with one hand and picked the pace up a little.
Until she saw Topher, anyway. She smiled and altered her course a little bit, so that she could sneak up behind him. Setting the cooler down as quietly as she could, she placed her hands over his eyes and leaned down to whisper in his ear. "Guess who, handsome."
