"I know that feeling," Brandon nodded his head and shrugged. "Most of my fights and shit are because I don't do so good talking about how I feel or whatever." His eloquence probably did more than a little to prove his point. "My experience with friendships is limited to Silas and Reg, so I dunno if I'm much good when it comes to advice on friendships, but sometimes you've got to like... push. I think. Maybe Rae's the one you should ask about that shit. Or your sister." He chuckled awkwardly and shrugged a shoulder. "She needs her friends and everything right now." At least that how he saw it.
With a nod, he shrugged. "That's fair," he said simply. "I'm not gonna be pushy either, I hate it when people do that to me." He scratched the back of his head. "I'm just trying to help, is all." The comment was accompanied by an awkward chuckle, and he took a slow breath. "If you want, I can talk to her? Maybe she just needs to see that she's been avoiding you or something." Sometimes, Leah got so wrapped up in family shit that she needed a reminder. So maybe Brandon asking her would help about it.
A label? Brandon tilted his head to the side. "What kind of—" he stopped abruptly and blinked a couple of times when she explained exactly what she meant. "Oh..." he said, trailing off and looking down at the dog, for something else to focus his attention on. "I'd ask if you do, but I'm sure if you did, you'd have told me by now." Maybe. She was honest like that. Right? He felt kind of exposed right now, though. Like she knew, or something. Like someone had told her, or maybe she'd picked it up on her own.
He laughed a little bit. "Sometimes. But Kori's not all that nosy, actually. Yeah, she's curious and yeah she wants me to be happy but she doesn't completely nose in. And Leah's the anti-nosy. She mostly just lets me do whatever. Lilah's kind of consumed with her own shit. You know?" he smiled a little bit and shrugged a shoulder. "I'm pretty lucky."
