WHO: Leah and Vienna
WHEN: April 13, 2020; morning
WHERE: Roof of the admin building
WHAT: Lil' bit o' yoga, lil' bit o' advice-sharing, and a lil' bit o' false labor.
RATING: Medium, maybe.
It was more of a challenge doing yoga now, but that didn't stop Leah from doing it. Twice a week had become the routine, as opposed to the daily routine she used to live by. Activities that used to be easy, like going up and down stairs, were a major workout. Leah had more or less limited her daily exercise to long walks around the compound. Today was one of those days where she didn't feel like doing much, but an achy back and stomach wouldn't allow her much rest, so she decided to keep the plans she had with Vienna. Maybe some morning yoga would relax her muscles and allow her a bit of relief from the discomfort for a short while. That was the hope, anyway. Backaches were sometimes unavoidable no matter what she did. “It isn't that difficult to get the hang of,” Leah said, using the rooftop picnic table to help maintain her balance while she was in one of the poses. “But you really are getting off easy here, since I can't really show you all the beginner poses I usually show people. Bea caught on to it pretty quickly, so I think you will, too.” Admittedly, she didn't speak to Vienna's sister as much as she used to. Not because she didn't like the other woman, but for a couple different reasons; the main one being a defense against whatever game Brandon was playing with Bea. Leah had a hard time getting over past experiences where he'd screwed women over. So, while she missed hanging out with Bea on a regular basis, Leah was trying to maintain neutral ground until her brother proved otherwise that he wasn't just out to get into Bea's pants. “How are you two doing, by the way? Is that sisterly bond strengthening?” She hadn't said anything to Vienna about the conversation she'd had with Bea a while back, but she was curious how the two were getting along now. Leah hoped her question was subtle enough that she wouldn't get reprimanded for interfering. |
