It was hard for Vienna not to smirk at the tone Leah used, mostly because she knew that tone well, it was one she was fairly certain she’d used before as well. “You can’t even act like you believe me.” She quipped.
Shaking her head, she fought to keep back a laugh. “Nope, not at all,” she replied smugly. “If I let you get away with stuff it’ll totally make you soft.” Vienna paused for a moment. “And with an older sister like Bea I had to learn how to be wily and impossible, also I’m not going to let you forget this conversation.” This was said in true younger sibling fashion, attitude and all.
Something with fashion? That seemed like an easy enough idea. “I’ll have to bring that idea up to Bea, she was the one in the fashion world after all, I was just a regular in the front row of fashion shows.” Vienna appreciated Leah’s input on all of this, it made her feel less inapt in all of this if she had some kind of sounding board – which was partially what Leah was to her - both advice giver and sounding board.
“Oh, because younger siblings are so wily, right?” Vienna shot back with a amused smile lighting up her features.
Sighing softly, she reached up and pushed a few stray strands of hair out of her eyes. “I hope nothing goes bad, if only because it’s not just them it would affect,” it would seep into Leah’s life and hers to some degree. That and she thought it was about time that Bea had someone in her life, someone solid that could get through the hard shell and realize that even her sister needed someone to lean on from time to time. “Honestly, I’m kind of pulling for this thing to work out, because I think it would be good for both of them.” And despite everything, she was still a romantic at heart apparently.
This wasn’t good. This was actually the opposite of good, and for a moment Vienna felt completely like she had no idea what to do. That feeling passed quickly, and soon she was doing her best to soothe Leah while she worked through the contractions. “We’ll get Evan, but first we need to get to the infirmary,” Her words were gentle, but firm. Getting Evan was not priority; right now Vienna’s priority was getting Leah to the medics. “Do you think you can move?” She paused. “Or should I try texting one of the medics?”
