"Harmless when he's with someone we trust, though," she told him with a little smile. "I know you wouldn't. I was teasing, love," she winked and watched as EJ giggled in response to the wink. Any face distortion always seemed to amuse him, winking or smiling or sticking tongues out... it didn't matter what. She chuckled and made a playful face at EJ, who reached for her face instead. "Sorry, that's his new game," she pointed out. "He likes beep noises. Anything that a horn can make. I think his favorite one is 'meep' though," she explained. Then EJ giggled at the noise and she made it again. "Meep, meep!" she mimicked the Road Runner and watched as he burst out into a fit of giggles.
She nodded emphatically. "Definitely! We've seen a ton of pranks, and I also have the epic advantage of having Lucas as a cousin," she mused, as EJ playfully poked at Topher's face. That was another game of his. Just poking skin and watching the reaction it gave the face.
With a scoff, she gently smacked him in the arm. "Hey!" she made a face, and EJ giggled in the background again, which made it harder to pretend to be annoyed. "I'll have you know that you have awesome taste, because I'm one of a kind, Christopher," she teased, putting a hand on her hip and making a teasing tongue-out face. "So, what, you wouldn't love me anymore if I dyed my hair, let's say, brown? Or red, or pink? I had pink hair year before last, you know," she picked up a small cluster of hair and flipped it over her shoulder. "See what you do to me? You turn me into a creepy voyeur! Too bad I like the view too much to stop, isn't it?" she asked, going for the same ticklish spot on his side again. She liked his ticklish face.
"I love you, too," she told him, her own expression softening, though it was still a little bit bashful. "Not just that," she mused with a little smirk. "Basically all you need to do to convince me to make out with you is say 'let's make out,' and I'm totally game," she wagged her eyebrows and watched as EJ broke out in a fit of giggles again. His amusement was her favorite thing. She stepped closer for a moment and kissed EJ on the cheek, then Topher's lips softly. "I don't think anything makes me happier than to be with my two favorite men." As she stepped back, she reached up to rub her eyes and stretched her back a little.
She smirked and laughed softly. "Yeah, that's definitely what the game of twenty questions was for. He told me that he could cover for himself, but I guess he didn't if you thought he'd gone nuts, hm?" she asked with a chuckle. "But that's okay, because we're here now and you've got the present and you like it." She looked back at him and chuckled. "Sorry! That came off a lot more seriously than it was meant to!" she tried to recover. "I think a piece of dust got into my eye, and it took me by surprise." She was a lousy liar, but she really hoped that she managed to pull it off this time. "I know you wouldn't cheat on me, though. I was kidding. How about instead of a threesome, we have some fun on the bike, hm?" she asked, wetting her lips and making a playful face.
"You should always be smiling," she told him, with a soft smile of her own. "You have a perfect smile. And so do you," she told her son, in a sweeter voice, one that you'd use with a baby, when he looked at her expectantly. "I hope I always make you guys smile like that." She hoped the sentence made more sense aloud than it did to her own ears, but she was having trouble stringing a coherent sentence together right now.
When he called her attention, she looked at him, a little surprised. "Oh, I'm... I'm just a little woozy," she told him. She didn't admit to being tired, but she was pretty sure he could figure it out.
She was leaning on him a little heavier than she expected to, but she shook her head abruptly and breathed in a deep breath of fresh air. "I'll be... I'll be fine," she said, though she was less sure than she wanted to be. "I'm sure of it."
