Nodding his head, Zach chuckled. “Right,” the question had been rhetorical, but he answered it anyway. It was just a bit amusing to hear those words coming from a kid who still had a lot of life to see – but he supposed Jax had already seen a hell of a lot more than most kids, what with living through the apocalypse and all. Everything came down to luck and chance, or so he thought. Although not everyone shared that same opinion, maybe if he was religious he would have another outlook on things – but he wasn’t, hence he stuck with the luck and chance approach.
“Four months, huh?” Zach was impressed, both because he couldn’t remember ever having a relationship last longer than a couple of weeks at best, and because for teenagers four months was a long time – especially for teenagers during the apocalypse. “And for the record there isn’t a timetable, but you sound like you already knew that one.” If he were talking to DJ he’d probably go into some in depth brotherly speech, but doing that to Jax wasn’t really his place. Although it did make him think that he should check in with his kid brother, see how his thing with April was going.
Turning towards the shelves again, Zach began to rummage around until he found a box of condoms. “Here you go.” he held them out to Jax.
