“Or that too,” Zach agreed with a shrug and a good-natured laugh. For the most part he had never minded his younger siblings, but maybe that was because he was well aware that he could have easily ended up a foster kid without younger siblings at all – so he didn’t take for granted what he had been blessed with. Now, that wasn’t to say he didn’t get annoyed with them from time to time, but it wasn’t a deep-seated ‘I wish you weren’t here’ kind of annoyance.
He chuckled. “Yes they can,” Zach agreed, catching onto what it was Jax probably meant. He generally tried to avoid physical harm, especially when it came to women – because he had found they could be about a million times more brutal than another guy would ever be, at least to certain parts of a the male anatomy. “Well, it’s probably just a game of chance what you’ll end up stumbling upon or not.” Part of him was thankful that he hadn’t been ‘blessed’ with a phasing ability.
Zach just laughed at the younger man’s dramatics, highly amused. “No, I think I have a pretty good guess as to which one of those comes first on your list.” The kid was a teenager after all. When Jax stood up straight and began talking again, Zach had a feeling they were getting to the real reason he had appeared in the infirmary. “Yeah, I remember,” he also remembered telling the younger man to be safe, ‘cause the last thing they needed was kids having kids. “We’ve got some around here, yeah,” he added, choosing to not embarrass the kid more by pointing out the blush that was creeping onto his cheeks. “I’m assuming this is your way of asking for some?”
