She couldn't force the damn thing off of her. With a hand on each of her shoulders, it had her effectively pinned down. Leti couldn't take it. To just look up in that face that wanted to kill her was too much. She shut her eyes. But not even a few moments later, the weight holding her down was gone. There was a gunshot, presumably to kill the infected. Someone had saved her. She opened her eyes, blinking once and then twice before looking up to see who it was that had helped her. It was a man she'd never met. Or if she had, she didn't remember. The voice, though, was familiar. It was the same one as earlier.
Leti took the offered hand to pull herself up so she was standing. "...I'm fine." There was little pain and most all of it was in her back from being held down like she had been. But she hadn't been bitten, thank god. With no idea if she was immune or not, she was most definitely not looking to find out. With a few quick strides, she went over to pick up her gun. Turning back to look at him, she tried to express her gratitude. "Thanks for that. Really."
