With a chuckle, Dillon shrugged his shoulders. "One could argue that you'd fall under the category of "the chicken," but okay," he teased with a little grin, though Maddie couldn't see it, since he was on the other side of the door.
Once he got inside, he blinked a couple of times and looked around the room. It was easy to forget how pink this room was. Pink and purple and girly and... kind of ridiculous, in Dillon's eyes. But he didn't say anything. He knew that it was, after all, home to a pair of girls. "Bright in here," he decided on instead. Compared to the darkness of his cell-room, it was really, really bright. And not just in lighting.
Sometimes it was easy to forget about all the animals that his sister and Caitie kept in their apartment, but as soon as he opened the door, and one of the cats appeared at his feet, he remembered. He couldn't help but laugh a little bit as the tiny creature made its way in a figure eight around his ankles. He leaned down for a second to scratch the animal's head and lift it off the floor.
"You guys kind of have a zoo going on here," he pointed out arbitrarily. "It's kind of nice. Instead of a zoo of kids like mom and dad had, you have a real animal zoo."
He laughed again and looked around. "Must be kind of tough sometimes, to find a place to sit that isn't on something living," he pointed out, sitting on the bed that he figured was Maddie's, since he wouldn't feel right sitting on Caitie's. "You guys have a pretty sweet setup here. Better than that cell with the toilet for the table," he added with a little grin. "Borrowed that idea, by the way. I'm sick of looking at the toilet."
