Skit knew that he wasn't the only one experiencing... super powers. He really didn't want to call it that but it was the only word he could think of. A strangeness? That didn't really explain it. Despite his feelings of wanting to avoid it he couldn't help but want to know what exactly he could do. So for an hour he spent his time focusing. Trying to see what could trigger it and what he could do. Although it started to give him a bit of a headache he didn't stop. He didn't see anything wrong with working through the pain. It was only until he started to get dizzy that he decided to stop. He felt so bad that he skipped dinner and went straight to his cell. The night seemed to go by so quickly. By the time people started making noise in the cell block Skit felt as if he'd only been asleep for seconds. He turned in his bed, swinging his arm to press the snooze button. The darkness that filled the room didn't faze him. He figured that his eyes were still closed so he didn't think anything of it. As if he didn't want to wake up. It wasn't for another ten minutes when a few children ran down the cell block. If that wasn't a wake up call. It was dark.... It was still dark.... Skit rubbed his eyes trying to figure out what was going on. He'd stop rubbing every so often to see if he could see again. Still nothing. He tried for at least five or six minutes before deciding to stop. He kicked his feet over the bed and tried to picture the cell. He didn't want to run into anything. After a moment he stood up, reaching his hands in front of him to feel around. Then he walked in what he guessed was the direction of the door. He had guessed right. Which was at least one thing that was going right that morning. He stumbled out of his cell and reached for the barrier of the pathway. He started to walk down the pathway. "Damn it," he said as he used one hand to rub his eyes again. |
