Silas pursed his lips, but nodded. Now was neither the time or place to get into some verbal fight about how he felt responsible for her. Protective. Just because Rae could heal didn’t mean that he wasn’t going to still feel the need to keep her safe. “Fine. I’ll let her get shot or what the fuck ever,” he replied, throwing Brandon’s phrase back at him. Okay, so he wasn’t as ok with just following the order and keeping his mouth shut as he’d thought he was.
Rae could handle herself, he knew that. Didn’t mean he was completely okay with her being out here, but it had been a compromise. If he went, she got to also. It was only fair.
He turned his attention to Silas and Regan and chuckled a little devious chuckle when Silas mentioned them bringing the fight down. "Good." Brandon may have been a good shot, but there was definitely something to be said for an old fashioned brawl every now and again. And if there was anyone who needed a good slice of the throat it was these assholes.
Silas matched Brandon’s laugh with a smirk of his own, popping his knuckles. He was better in a brawl than trying to pop people off from a rooftop. And considering he had more strength than anyone save Brandon right now, he was just itching to see what kind of damage could be done to the idiots. He wouldn’t go as far to say that he had a personal vendetta against them, but considering what they’d tried to do to Bea and Rae, it was pretty damn close.
“Shit,” Silas muttered as he watched Shelley drop, then moved to climb the barricade. “Probably tripwire too,” he added, and if they were very lucky it wouldn’t be attached to explosives. It’s what Silas would have done, but he wasn’t them, so who the hell knew what kind of traps they had set up.
“See what the rooftops can see, maybe they can give us a better lay of what we’re walking into.” He dropped to the other side and scanned the street himself, immediately picking out what looked like a couple traps to their left. "And don't go left. Think that wire up there is attached to something we can't see."
