How could he be so calm? Vienna felt like she was ready to explode, and yet there Noah stood calm as ever. Gritting her teeth, she made herself count to ten before doing anything. Fighting with Bea was one thing, but fighting with Noah was an entirely different thing – especially when she wasn’t even entirely sure she had a right to be anger – but she was. Albrecht tempers ran hot, some could call it a curse.
Despite the fact that she had seen the window open, it didn’t even register that Noah wouldn’t have done anything with it open. Doesn’t mean they couldn’t have opened it after. The little jealous voice spoke up, causing a scowl to settle over her features. The idea that Noah had been sleeping with other people this entire time made her stomach clench and her heart drop. Had she been so stupid as to fall for a guy that didn’t even have the decency to let her know she wasn’t anyone special to him? That she was just another fuck. Running a hand through her hair in an irritated manner, Vienna took a deep and what she hoped would be a calming breath before speaking. “Right, talking.” Her tone was still clipped, though her tone was flat.
Being in the cell felt a little bit like being a caged animal, and she hated that feeling. Focusing on her anger was easier than focusing on the hurt she felt, the kind of faint feeling of betrayal that hung at the edges of her consciousness. You never talked about it. She reminded herself, trying to stop those feeling before they overtook her.
Taking a couple steps forwards, Vienna stood directly in front of Noah and tried to mask the hurt in her eyes as she asked. “So tell me, how long have you been sleeping with other people?” Without giving him a moment to respond, she continued. “Or maybe I should ask how long you’ve been sleeping with him?” It didn’t matter that it was a guy that Noah was sleeping with, no, it just hurt that he was sleeping with anyone else at all.
“Obviously I was just a way to itch a scratch,” she drawled as she began to pace around the small cell. “Nobody special at all.” The last part was said so quietly she doubted Noah would have even heard it, or maybe she hoped he hadn’t. Vienna didn't even realize how telling her actions were, that they were betraying the feelings she had for Noah while she still refused to admit them - even to herself.
