What do you think, bb? XD
"Sentimentality, huh?" he asked with a bit of a grin. "Yeah, even when she was alive, I always considered naming my first child after her. Even if it was a boy, Liv and I would have named him Jules," he told her. He couldn't recall if he'd mentioned it in the past. "So that you're even considering that means a lot to me." He leaned over and pressed his lips to her temple.
It hadn't really occurred to him until the other day, that they were quite a ways into the pregnancy, and they'd barely even discussed names. That was a major part of why he'd grabbed that book from the library for Leah's Valentine's Day present. That and, well, their child having a name was important to him. "Outside of Julia, have any of these names jumped out at you?" he asked her. "I'd even be okay with Julia being a middle name. Or, we could even hyphenate her name. Hyphenated first names are pretty." He smiled.
Evan didn't clame to be an expert on dream psychology, but a part of him couldn't help but wonder if that dream was telling her something important. "Maybe it's telling you that we should build a lava moat around the compound." It was a halfhearted joke, one that he hoped would lighten the mood. "Or maybe that we should post guard tigers by the entrance. Immune ones, naturally, because the last thing we need are zombie tigers outside the door, waiting to eat whoever tries to leave."
"She's just telling you she loves you, mommy," Evan said, lightly tapping her tummy with his fingertips. "And that she's cooking just fine in there."
With a sigh, he nodded his head. "Yeah," he admitted. "My brain won't settle down. If I had any belief in superstition, I'd be more inclined to listen to it. Or if I thought this was anything more than stress." Not that leadership had been terribly stressful lately. Bea had been helping out a lot, and Brandon and Charlie had more or less headmanned the raid this time around. But his mind was a fickle thing. Sometimes confusing. "Everything will be fine, though," he said, convincingly faking confidence, even with that little ping in his mind.
Evan laughed. "Just her, hm?" he asked, giving her a loving smile. "What do mama and baby want this time around?" he nodded over at their mini-fridge.
