Glancing up when the curtain rattled back, Jake dropped his head back upon seeing that the pretty woman was probably a doctor of some kind. He relaxed a bit more, a smile forming as she asked for his name. "Names Jacob Hensley." He answered in a slw drawl. The exhaustion from the beating amd the trip excentuating it further. In the last couple years he'd affected a more neutral way of speaking but his roots had a way of coming out when he was ready to pass out like this.
He laughed at the mention of trouble. If only she knew the half of the trouble he was prone to getting into. His laugh faded into a wheezing cough as a hiss escaped him his arm going round his ribs. He must have been so distracted by his other pains and aches to notice the soreness over his ribs. Didn't feel like when he broke his ribs in high school though so that must be a good sign.
