Olivia tried her best to swallow down her fear, fear was only good in these situations if it was used to keep you alive. Fearing things before you left on the other hand, was just poor show all around and never bode well for the rest of the raid.
“Trust me when I say, not being immune will not be a problem. I've been out on tonnes of raids since this thing start and never once had a fatality, that being a record I don't plan on losing any time soon” she said feeling calmer all of a sudden. “All I'll say is if shit happens, get behind me. Last thing I want is to clip one of you guys in the shoulder when I start firing” she said before adding, “Apart from if there are any infected dogs, infected dogs are a big weakness for me”
It was a strange irony, most people would be panicking finding out they had a potential non-immune on their hands, but for Olivia in a weird way it focused her further. Sure, when she went out with immunes they still had to be careful not to get maimed, but she found when you have a non-immune around people tended to be more focused. There tended to be a greater cautiousness, everyone tended to be on their guard just that little bit more that made for a easier raid. The problem with immunes, were whether they realised it or not, they got sloppy after a while, they took unnecessary risks.
“Ok, so are we just going to have a general look around everywhere, or is this going to be a targeted raid? Its just that wandering around aimlessly at the moment could prove fatal, there seems to be a lot of activity at the moment” she said, trying to busy herself with the details as much as possible, following behind Ewan.
