Since the suggestion of a raid went out on the intranet, Olivia had been in a jumpy mood. She knew that raids were necessary and that the things she brought back could be traded, but that didn't stop her feeling a great unease. She knew it was stupid, seeing as their were some non-immunes that went on raids, but this certainly didn't ease her mood. Instead she decided to calm herself indulging herself in one of the warm showers Kris had told her were available.
The shower was the first hot shower she'd had since things went down, and my god did it feel amazing. Oh all the things she didn't think she'd miss, it was having a steaming hot shower. There was something about the heat that cut through the tension in her body and gave her a greater sense of clarity to focus on what she needed to bring and not.
Mentally, she started going through her belongings, trying to figure out what she did and didn't want to bring. The med kit was a definite, as was her gun and a few spare rounds, just in case. That reminded her, it wouldn't hurt if she picked up a few extra supplies of things like bandaids, antiseptic, lotion etc. Hell if she could get her hands on something like a stethoscope or a thermometer then she really would be in business. But to raid those sorts of goodies, she really needed to raid a doctors surgery, probably the worst place to go, seeing as most infections spread out from places like this.
It sounded like a stupid girly concern, but what clothes you picked for these raids was of high importance in her opinion. You didn't want to wear anything to fiddly, fiddly things got caught on ladders or could be grabbed by the masses scrambling at your ankles if you had to flee up the side of the building. Ideal clothing for a raid like this consisted of something light and easy to manoeuvre in, but at the same time something that was warm enough to sleep in, just in case you got stuck in a building over night.
After she got out of the shower and had dried herself off, she eventually settled on a pair of shorts, tank top and military boots, with her gun holstered at her side. Looking at her appearance in the mirror, she couldn't help but chuckle to herself. She looked a bit like a geek version of Lara Croft, ill prepared for the chaos she knew was outside. Quickly exiting the shower block, she made her way into a long abandoned room before carefully tucking her possessions into the draw of a dusty filing cabinet. Not that she didn't trust the others there yet, it's just she didn't know them, didn't know their character.
Moving out of the room, she headed back into the main room, where she quickly saw Ewan talking to another guy in the middle of the room. The guy looked familiar, but she couldn't place from quite where, it was like waking from a dream and trying to remember the details, but she shrugged this off.
“How's it going?” she said, trying to make herself sound a lot calmer then she actually was.
